Jakarta - Gelaran penghargaan film dunia, Academy Awards ke-93 alias Piala Oscars 2021, siap digelar pada 25 April 2021 mendatang setelah sempat mengalami penundaan beberapa kali. Sederet judul film populer, masuk dalam jajaran nominasi dari berbagai kategori.
Laman Variety melaporkan, daftar nominasi Academy Awards ke-93 alias Piala Oscars 2021 dikuasai oleh film Mank yang meraih 10 nominasi utama. Sementara film Minari, sukses mendapatkan 6 nominasi dari beberapa kategori.
Perhelatan acara penghargaan film tahunan kali ini akan diadakan di Dolby Theater seperti yang direncanakan semula. Namun belakangan, muncul ide untuk digelar pula di pusat kereta api Los Angeles yang ikonik, Union Station.
Pada akhirnya, The Academy selaku pihak penyelenggara mengumumkan bahwa gelaran penghargaan kancah perfilman dunia, Academy Awards ke-93 atau Oscars 2021, siap digelar di dua lokasi berbeda, yakni di Union Station dan Dolby Theatre
